Luxury Shopping at Bicester Village

Gentlemen and fellow followers,

With the clocks moving forward an hour, and the Spring nearly upon us, it was time for us to upgrade our wardrobe and accessories at one of London’s stylish shopping outlets. We decided to embark on a luxury journey for the day from London for some luxury shopping to the renowned Bicester Village. Technically speaking, Bicester Village is located on the outskirts of Oxford, an 1h15 North West of London.

Bicester Village

Bicester Village is part of the Chic Outlet Shopping® Villages by Value Retail. The company specialises exclusively in the development of luxury outlet shopping villages. In fact, during our last visit to Barcelona, we visited La Roca Village which is part of the same group for some international outlet luxury shopping.

A kind word of caution, for the fellow gentlemen wanting to attempt the exploration of Bicester Village, we would strongly recommend having an early night to visit the village at its opening to fully enjoy the experience. Surrounded by likeminded gentlemen and fellows, it is easy to get carried away!

We visited several of our favourite brands during our visit, Burberry, Polo Ralph Lauren, Coach and Timberland to name a few. You can find the full list of stores here.

One of our new acquisitions was Timberland’s Earthkeeper Heritage 2 Eye, also known as Timberland’s Boat shoe.

Made from premium leather and rawhide lace, it is a classic item for any gentleman. The boat shoe can be worn for both formal and informal events and a nice addition to ones summer style. You can find them on the official site here or even better you can go to Bicester Village to pick them up!

Another luxury acquisition was the Coach Cardholder which we have been trying to locate for some time now. Crafted in tanned leather with hand-aligned pockets, it is a nice accessory to complete your business look.

So Gentlemen, if you are looking for a day out close to London, Bicester Village is the place to visit should you need a new wardrobe or new accessories to upgrade your look.

Luxury Shopping – London

After visiting Geneva for some luxury shopping in our last post, it is time to visit the “The Big Smoke”, also known as London for some vintage and luxury shopping.

London has several distinct retail districts and shopping streets, many of which have their own themes or specialities. From luxury goods in Mayfair to quirky finds in Covent Garden, to large shopping centres like Westfield.

In terms of luxury shopping Mayfair is the place to visit. From Louis Vuitton Maison to Marc Jacob flagship store. The exclusive nature of the Bond Street and Mayfair area is exactly want us gentlemen need. Savile Row is renowned for its custom tailoring, so gentlemen if you are looking for that new suit or pair of shoes then Savile Row is the place to go.

If you happen to be more in the West of the city, in the Knightsbridge area, then you should definitely go and visit Harrods, the upmarket and luxury department store.

If on the other hand you don`t have the time to go down to the west end; then you must visit the long established department store in London – Liberty. Located in between Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus, definitely worth the visit.

So gentlemen, if you are looking for some high end shopping, London is definitely a city worth spending several days in.

Luxury Shopping – Geneva

With Christmas only a few days away, you still have some time for some final shopping. If you are looking for a centre of luxury and excellence then Switzerland is the country to visit; specifically the luxury town of Geneva is the town to visit.

The “Rue du Rhone” is the place to go if you are looking for a unique and exclusive shopping experience.

Located in the Rues Basses district, this is Geneva’s most famous and prestigious shopping area, where the best clothing, luxury jewellery and prestige watches can be found.

Consisting of two streets down near the lake, Rue du Rhone and Quai du Général Guissan, these pavements are home to the top luxury boutiques of our time, from Rolex to Piaget if you are looking for a new Swiss made watch or the Apple Store you are looking for a new Ipad or Iphone 5 or even Louis Vuitton and Dior if you wanted to buy the latest luxury card holder than you saw online.

Gentlemen, a word of caution however, most of the stores are not open on Sundays compared to some of the other cities in Europe.

So Gentlemen, it’s time for you to board your luxurious private jet and land at Geneva International Airport for some luxury shopping!
